The Stevens Artificial Intelligence in Modern Society program is a one-week residential camp designed for high school students interested in exploring the world of AI. Students will delve into the history and evolution of AI within computer science, learning the fundamental concepts behind artificial intelligence, including neural networks, forward and back propagation schemes, and data training. The curriculum also covers the ethical and societal implications of AI, examining policies and guidelines in the U.S. related to its use for public and commercial purposes. A typical day includes breakfast, two class sessions, lunch and activity breaks, dinner, evening research projects, and social activities, with a residence hall curfew at 10:30 pm.
