The NJCU Career Technical Training Program offers high school students (grades 9-12) online, self-paced 6-week courses with in-person coaching in a supportive, on-campus environment. These engaging courses are designed to challenge and enrich academic experience while building career-ready skills in tech, business, writing, and more. Students can choose from a variety of courses, including Introduction to Python 2.5 Programming, Introduction to JavaScript, UI/UX Design, Introduction to Photoshop CC, Creating Mobile Apps with HTML5, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, and How to Get Started in Game Development. The program aims to help students explore real career paths, gain confidence, and stay ahead academically. It also offers opportunities to engage with the professional world through industry expert lectures, experiential classroom visits, and real-world projects, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Students attend in-person coaching sessions in a computer lab from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, while also completing online, self-paced coursework.
